How to Convert PDF to Excel

Three steps, and the whole job usually takes less than a minute.

Upload Your PDF

Click Select PDF Document or drag the file into the box. The file stays on your device the whole time, nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Check the Preview

Press Convert to Excel and look at the preview table. It shows the first 10 rows, so you can see how the columns came out before you download anything. Tick “First row is a header” if your table’s first row is a heading.

Download Results

Press Download .xlsx File for a spreadsheet that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice, or Download .csv File for plain text that opens anywhere.

Why Use Our PDF to Excel Tool?

A PDF locks a table into a fixed page. A spreadsheet sets it free.

Instant Processing

The conversion happens in your browser the moment you press the button. No queue, no waiting for an upload to finish.

Guaranteed Privacy

Because the file never leaves your device, private documents like bank statements stay private. There is nothing on a server to delete later.

A Real Spreadsheet

The result is a proper .xlsx file with rows and columns you can sort, filter and add up, not a picture of a table.

CSV Fallback Included

If Excel is not available, the .csv download opens in any spreadsheet app or even a plain text editor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my table come out perfectly?

Simple tables with clear gaps between columns, like bank statements, result sheets and price lists, usually come out clean. But be honest with yourself before you start: tables with merged cells, columns that touch with no gap, or multi-column page layouts may split or merge cells wrongly. That is why the tool shows a preview first — check the first 10 rows, and if a table looks wrong, the .csv download lets you fix it quickly in any spreadsheet app.

Will it work on a scanned PDF?

No. A scanned PDF is a picture of text, not text itself, so there is nothing to turn into spreadsheet rows. The tool will tell you plainly that no text was found instead of giving you an empty file. Scanned pages need an OCR tool first.

What is the difference between the .xlsx and .csv downloads?

The .xlsx file is a real Excel spreadsheet with rows and columns. The .csv file is the same data as plain text with commas between columns. Both hold the same rows — use .xlsx for Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice, and .csv when you need something that opens anywhere.

Will the .xlsx open in Excel and Google Sheets?

Yes. It is a standard .xlsx file, so it opens in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc and most other spreadsheet apps.

What happens to text that is not in a table?

Plain text lines become one-column rows in the same sheet, in reading order, with a blank row between pages. So a mixed document still converts — the table parts become columns and the rest becomes single-column rows.

Is it really free, with no watermark?

Yes. No signup, no watermark, no page limit added by us. The file is processed locally in your browser.
